Under the 25 millimeter thick melamine table top there is a horizontal steel crossbar which is connected to the entire table frame. There is definitely no lack of stability here!
The table top is extremely scratch and impact resistant thanks to the melamine resin coating on both sides and the robust 2 millimeter thick ABS edging.
