That is why this material is not used on the professional office furniture market.

What you should know about the chipboard
A chipboard does not have to mean bad quality. The chipboard should be multi -layered. High stability is guaranteed with 3 to 5 layers. The three -layer chipboard of the desk should be around 25 mm thick.

What you should know about the desk coating
The coating is decisive for the feel, the quality and thus the durability of your Desk. Therefore, you should pay particular attention to this. Make sure not to select focated work surfaces. Only a thin paper -like surface is applied to the carrier material. This surface can scratch very easily. The result is that the chipboard underneath appears. Not only does the aesthetics suffer, sometimes poisonous adhesive bundle can escape. As a result, a foiled surface itself is not prepared for normal stress. Our recommendation: a melamine resin plastic layer. This coating is cheap, but ensures high quality. It offers the following advantages:

Easy cleaning
Long durability

In addition, it can be ordered in many colors and also as real wood replica. Thanks to modern production techniques, real wood replica from the layperson can now hardly be distinguished from real wood.

Real wood funners are often used for chief offices or in the upper management area. Here, a layer of real wood Funier is applied to the carrier material (as with melamine a chip, MDF or HDF plate). This is then painted to achieve higher resistance. Haptics and appearance are unsurpassed with high -quality processing. However, this also has its price. With high stress, a material mix made of lacquered real wood veneer with melamine resin coatings is used.

Desk edge

The material used for edge protection is similar to the coating. Here, too, the following applies that a foiling only offers inadequate protection. One would think that melamine resin is the material of choice here too - but that is not the case! Melamine is one of the most robust materials used in the surface area - and is therefore our favorite for coating - but the material is too hard as edge protection. The result is that with bumps and Remplern, it can easily break out on the edges. The result is unsightly cracks and broken edges. So take a closer look at the edge protection used. Our recommendation is that ABS edge. The material is robust and yet elastic. These feathers all off and make the worktop durable. ABS edges are between 2-4 mm thick.

Stability
A high quality desk must be firmly on the floor and must never wiggle, vibrate or vibrate. Make sure that the feet have trusses. The table top can then be screwed to the trusses and not just on the two table legs. A table with a depth of 80 cm should have 2 trusses. This guarantees high torsional stiffness. You can easily recognize inferior tables by the fact that a cross -running plate has to be attached to the two table legs. Without them, the legs could not be stable. A table that has trusses is not dependent on it. However, do not confuse the transverse plate with a privacy screen. The following types of frame are available for the table legs: U, A, O-curve, T, 4-Kant or round tube. In addition, there are also closed cheeks. A basic recommendation for the frame shape used does not have to be given. Here you can go to your taste and individual preferences. The table legs should be high quality. Foots with soil compensation screw are recommended. The desk must have a GS sign or a CE sign.
